Mentoring
Working one -on-one with jobs seekers who have been as having significant barriers in life and to employment. OSOS Alliance will build relationships, trust and accountability with job seekers to help them overcome their barriers and move into employment.
Resilience Workshops
All our training programs include our OSOS Alliance Resilience Workshop. Resilience is the ability to cope with the challenges, problems, and setbacks you face in life, and to become stronger because of them. This leads to stronger, long -term employees.
Indigenous Mentoring
A program specifically designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers. One of the keys to a successful Program is a dedicated Indigenous Mentoring wrap around service. Every group has a designated Mentor who is with them from Day 1 of the program, in the classroom, during training and beyond, providing support for the job seekers as they take the step into employment. Our Mentors assist by:
- Developing mentoring plans by setting out employment, personal, financial and health goals
- Assistance to build self-esteem, competence, and confidence in the workplace
- Assisting in the planning daily transport requirements
- Providing practical life skills advice, health, and personal safety
- Induction and familiarization with new surroundings
- Developing workplace reliability and work ethic
- Collaborating with candidate family members and friends to acknowledge and accept the new responsibilities the job seeker now has.
